“The Montessori experience resembles what adults do in innovative organizations. Montessori emphasizes collaboration, communication, self-direction, and risk-taking… Kids take the lead in defining their goals, exploring their passions, and learn about the world… Kids are encouraged to take chances, fail, and iterate on an end goal of importance.”
Our Programs
Toddler
Toddlers enjoy creating friendships, learning about the world around them and learning about classroom etiquette. Students experience sensory activities, art, music, movement and other age-appropriate curriculum.
Children’s House
Our preschool and kindergarten program develops the whole child through practical life and sensorial activities, language development, mathematics, and cultural activities.
ELEMENTARY
Montessori does not end in the primary years. The elementary program builds on the academic skills and work ethic established in children's house.
MIDDLE SCHOOL
The middle school presents a dynamic, challenging academic environment. Small classes often are conducted in seminar format, allowing for the easy exchange of ideas.
Naturalist Program
Our school is an Ohio certified WILD school site. It features a natural playground and adjoins the Melissa Schultz Nature Preserve. The preserve entails six acres of woods and meadow, with a ravine and creek, dedicated to exposing children and families to the wonder of nature the principles of environmental sustainability.
