Our Little Children's House serves children that are between the ages of 18 months and three years old. Maria Montessori believed that the first three years of life, are the most fundamental in the development of a human being. There years provide a critical foundation for the person the child is to become and must thought of with the greatest respect. She believed that younger children have incredibly absorbent minds, assimilating all that they see, hear and experience.

Our Montessori School of Wooster provides the respect, independence, and freedom for the child to explore and grow throughout the daily life activities, such as mopping, scrubbing, toileting, cooking and preparing food.
Our environment has variety to meet everyone's needs. It includes fine motor skills, language, cognitive, gross motor, sensorial, art, math, geography, and practical life.
Our prepared environment allows the child to be self-successful and is based on the Montessori philosophy of "learning by doing". The materials are designed to entice the child's sense, encouraging the toddler to explore the environment through hands on experiences.
Children in the classroom are encouraged to observe their classmates working. Our multi-aged classrooms allow children to learn from those who are older.
